Whiskey Before BreakfastWhiskey Before Breakfast is a beautiful little tune taught to Kent by his good friend Micah Schonberg, and taught in turn to Nicholas and Gabe... Nicholas plays the viola da gamba on this one -- and it closely echoes the sounds a gut-stringed fiddle might have made in Ireland or in the Appalachian mountains a hundred or more years ago. Before recording this tune, Nicholas asked Kent to think about the title -- and groggily introduce the tune on the mandolin -- that is what you hear on the record.
